Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve

If you've never been to San Diego, Torrey Pines is worth the hike. It's stunning in the morning, midday and at sunset. There's a whole trail system that you can explore. If you don't rent a car for this trip you can still uber here and explore.

Don't feel like making the trek to Torrey Pines, you should definitely grab a coffee and walk the Coast Walk Trail right in La Jolla. Even better, walk along at sunset.

Mission Beach Boardwalk

Just south of La Jolla, this "boardwalk" aka paved path runs 3.5 miles long from North Pacific Beach down to Mission Beach Boardwalk. It's an excellent place to people watch. And of course, great for a stroll, run (had to throw it in there), or bike ride!

Rent Bikes

Chase and I love riding bikes around La Jolla and down to Pacific Beach Boardwalk all the way to Mission Bay. It's a great way to spend the day and take in the sights better than you ever would by car. There are plenty of bike rental shops and even more e-bike shops if old school pedaling is just simply too much.

Sights to See

Ellen Browning Scripps Park

Iconic to La Jolla, this is where you can see the sea lions sunbathing. Great spot to check out and see at least once. If you're staying in La Jolla you can walk along the sidewalk almost all the way to our venue.

If you want to see (and smell) these little guys you're going to want to go to Ellen Browning Scripps Park mentioned above.

This is the beach Chase and I have spent the most time at. It's small but stunning.

Mount Soledad Memorial Park

There's a hike up here that will give you 360 views of La Jolla (I think it's called La Jolla Natural Park).

Super chill park near Mt. Soledad. Recommend grabbing some beverages and maybe a snack and heading up here to just hangout and enjoy the views of Mission Bay.

Shopping in La Jolla

There are tons of name brands and also boutique unique shops located right in DT La Jolla. If you've never been it's fun to walk around and pop into a few places.

Pretty self explanatory. Kayaking La Jolla Caves is pretty cool.

Sunset Cliffs Natural Park

Popular spot to come watch the sunset. Lots of space and can get crowded. This is where our engagement photos are from!
